This site-specific work is based loosely around the concepts of quantum physics. Everyday visitors travel through these atrium spaces based on decisions they made either to come to, or leave the building. In this work I attempt to depict that there are always alternatives and choices unfolding before us, and that we are not necessarily fixed points in one dimension, but a lineage of decisions and circumstances that builds upon itself to continuously render out individual realities.
Using the building passageways as the subject of his large-scale photographic banners. They are a visual manifestation of the quantum concept that many realities existing in one place until one is observed and solidified. The word Hansei in this circumstance highlights the many facets of situations, and the many choices that can be made. Hansei is a form of self reflection, to understand what is, and what is not a sound choice and to contemplate and honor the many choices you have in a given situation.
